Archer Clears Antitrust Hurdle on Boeing Units Deal
Archer Aviation has cleared a key hurdle in its acquisition of three Boeing subsidiaries. The U.S. antitrust waiting period for the deal, which includes Wisk Aero, SkyGrid, and Insitu, expired on September 24, 2026. This satisfies one condition for the deal to close.
The acquisition still requires other customary closing conditions, including further regulatory approvals, which Archer says are underway. The company continues to expect completion by the end of 2026.
Archer's acquisition would combine the three Boeing units' work in autonomy, eVTOL aircraft, unmanned aircraft systems, and airspace intelligence with its own aircraft and AI foundation model, ZEE. This combined business aims to provide an end-to-end physical AI platform for aerospace and defense.
