Azure Suffers Global Network Outage Amid Infrastructure Maintenance
Microsoft's cloud platform Azure experienced a widespread network outage on October 1, affecting 19 regions worldwide. The disruption began at 5:30 a.m. Japan time and centered on private connectivity services ExpressRoute and VPN Gateway.
The outage caused degraded or completely interrupted connections for enterprises operating hybrid cloud environments. Failures and delays in network management operations were also reported.
Affected regions include Japan West, West US, North Europe, West Europe, France Central, UK South, and 15 others worldwide.
