Bangladesh Dismisses Concerns Over Boeing Deal, Aims for Aviation Hub
State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humaiun Kobir has dismissed concerns over a recent deal between Biman Bangladesh Airlines and Boeing, stating that there is no hidden agenda behind it. He emphasized that the agreement to acquire 11 additional aircraft is part of plans to build an aviation hub in the country.
Kobir pointed out that Bangladesh will continue to expand its fleet based on needs, as the country looks to become a major player in the regional aviation sector.
The State Minister said that a mixed fleet is essential for the country's aviation sector, and that the latest agreement with Boeing aligns with this goal. He also highlighted the significance of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's visit to the 81st session of the UNGA, where he engaged extensively with the international community.
