Big Tech Hyperscalers to Spend Record $1.2 Trillion on AI Infrastructure by 2027
Goldman Sachs' strategists have forecast that artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure spending by the five largest U.S. hyperscalers will reach $1.2 trillion in 2027, up from $800 billion this year.
This estimate is higher than the Wall Street consensus of $1.1 trillion and includes Amazon, Alphabet, Microsoft, Oracle, and Meta in its forecast.
The team led by Ryan Hammond also predicts that after a 54% jump in hyperscaler capital expenditures in 2027, the total will increase to $1.4 trillion in 2028.
JPMorganChase Chairman Jamie Dimon commented on this trend, stating that hyperscalers could spend $1 trillion next year, which he believes is a significant contribution to GDP and inflation.
