Biman Orders 11 More Boeing Aircraft Amidst US-Bangladesh Trade Boost

Biman Bangladesh Airlines is set to sign an agreement with Boeing to acquire 11 more aircraft during Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's visit to New York for the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The deal, which is valued at $3.7 billion, would take Biman's planned Boeing acquisitions to a total of 25 aircraft.

US Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent T Christensen congratulated Boeing and Biman on the agreement, calling it 'a win-win for the U.S.-Bangladesh relationship'.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to sign the agreement at 4:15pm (local time) on Wednesday at his place of residence in New York, along with senior Bangladesh and US officials.
