BlackDoctor Summit Shines Light on Generational Health Through Prevention and Equity

BlackDoctor's inaugural summer summit on Martha's Vineyard brought together health professionals and media experts to discuss generational health through prevention and equity. The conversation was led by Terri Lee, Vice President of State Government Affairs and Policy at Merck, who is retiring after over 30 years of legislative policy experience.

They shared personal stories about caring for their loved ones and the impact of generational health on daily life.

The discussion touched on the conditions that shape health outcomes across generations, including where people live, access to food, and trust in healthcare systems. The panelists also highlighted the importance of community-driven efforts and addressing implicit bias in clinical research.
