Boeing Engineers Avoid Strike with New Four-Year Contract
Boeing engineers and technical workers have approved a new four-year contract, avoiding a potential strike. The deal includes an immediate 10% raise and up to 6% annual raises based on merit.
The union, SPEEA, represents around 13,000 engineers and 4,000 technical workers. This is Boeing's largest white-collar union.
The contract was negotiated after workers rejected an earlier proposal with 3% annual raises in mid-September. The new deal is expected to support Boeing's plans to ramp up production of its fast-selling jets.
