Boeing Lands Record 103-Aircraft Deal with Korean Air

Boeing and Korean Air have finalized a record-breaking order for 103 aircraft. The deal, announced on September 16, 2026, includes 20 Boeing 777-9, 25 Boeing 787-10, 50 Boeing 737-10, and eight Boeing 777-8 Freighter airplanes. This order fulfills Korean Air's procurement commitment from August 2025.

The agreement marks a significant milestone in the U.S.-Republic of Korea industrial alliance, demonstrating the strength of bilateral trade negotiations. The event was attended by senior government and financial leaders, including U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Korea Michelle Steel and ROK Minister of Trade, Industry and Resources Kim Jung-kwan.

The Boeing 777-9, 787-10, and 737-10 are part of Boeing's widebody and single-aisle airplane family, while the 777-8 Freighter is a cargo aircraft. Korean Air Chairman and CEO Walter Cho and Boeing Commercial Airplanes President and CEO Stephanie Pope were among those present at the event.
