Boeing's 737 MAX Output Stuck at 47 Monthly Amid Wing Supply Delays
Boeing's efforts to stabilize its 737 MAX production rate have been hindered by wing supply delays at its Renton facility, according to CEO Kelly Ortberg.
The company aims to produce 52 jets per month, but is currently stuck at 47 due to the wing constraints.
Renton produces all 737 MAX wings and is running behind schedule, preventing Boeing from reaching a stable production rate.
Boeing's expansion of its Everett facility, which will add final-assembly capacity and reduce reliance on Renton, is not yet operational and cannot bypass the wing constraint, as every MAX requires Renton-built wings before assembly.
