Bowie Capital Management Invests $53 Million in Amazon.com

Bowtie Capital Management LLC made a significant new investment in Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) during the second quarter of this year.

The firm purchased 222,864 shares of AMZN's stock, valued at approximately $53.12 million. This acquisition represents about 2.3% of Bowtie Capital Management LLC's investment portfolio and makes it Amazon.com's 20th largest holding.

This is not the only new investment in Amazon made by institutional investors recently. Several other firms, including Greenspring Advisors LLC, TRU Independence Asset Management 2 LLC, NFJ Investment Group LLC, AlpenGlobal Capital LLC, and Virtus Advisers LLC, have also acquired new stakes in the e-commerce giant during the second quarter.

Amazon.com's stock has been performing well, with shares opening at $251.19 on Friday. The company's market capitalization is a staggering $2.71 trillion, and its PEG ratio is 1.91. Amazon Web Services (AWS) has reached an annualized revenue run rate of $169 billion.
