Brian Grazer's production company Imagine Entertainment has been at the forefront of branded entertainment for several years, but the trend is now gaining momentum across Hollywood. Major companies and brands are launching in-house studios to create high-quality content that meets their marketing needs.

GE's CEO Jeff Immelt approached Grazer a decade ago with an idea for TV spots featuring GE products, but Grazer was skeptical. However, he eventually came up with the concept for the Nat Geo series Breakthrough, which became a successful collaboration between Imagine and GE.

This experience sparked Grazer's interest in branded entertainment, and Imagine Brands was born. The company has since worked with major brands like Nike, Ford, Coca-Cola, and Elon Musk's SpaceX on various projects.

As film and TV production decline due to the post-Peak TV era, companies are turning to branded content as a way to connect with customers. Major brands are launching in-house studios and hiring Hollywood veterans to create ambitious storytelling that sells their products.
