Calvin University Goes Coke, Adds New Dining Options
Calvin University has made significant changes to its dining services this year. One of the most notable changes is the transition from Pepsi products to Coca-Cola, making Calvin a Coca-Cola campus. This move is expected to bring additional opportunities for engagement at events and athletics, as well as enhance the experience for student-athletes and fans.
Luis Aljona, Director of Hospitality Services, emphasized the Dining Services team's focus on improving the dining experience while being good stewards of their resources. The new Coca-Cola partnership will also bring an all-day avocado toast bar, a self-serve soft-serve ice cream machine, and new metal dishware to Commons Dining Hall.
In addition to the changes at Commons, Johnny's Cafe has extended its hours and now offers breakfast options, including two Flex Combos. However, pizza is no longer on the menu at Johnny's. Peet's Coffee has also updated its hours and now allows students to use their meal plans to virtually pay for food or drinks through the Transact Mobile Order app.
