Carrollton Resident Millie Gay Honored in Graveside Service
Mildred "Millie" Hogsed Gay, a beloved resident of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on October 5, 2026, at the age of 80. Born in Murphy, North Carolina, on February 20, 1946, Millie spent much of her life dedicated to her family and her passions, including gardening and birdwatching. She worked for many years in the gardening department at The Home Depot before retiring.
Millie was known for her love of reading, spending time with her dogs, and cherishing moments with her family. She is survived by four children, Wayne & Patty Payne, Rusty Gay, Bridget & Darren Kee, and Spencer & Anita Gay, as well as eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several siblings, and numerous extended family members and friends.
A graveside service in her honor will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Memorial Hill Cemetery.
