Oracle's massive investment in AI data centers is creating a huge demand for power and cooling infrastructure. Vertiv Holdings, which powers and cools AI data centers, saw its sales jump by 24% as it expanded its manufacturing capacity to meet this growing need.

The company announced four new or expanding factories to increase production of power management and infrastructure products. It also invested $50 million in Ohio to expand production of liquid-cooling and chilled-water systems for high-density computing.

Caterpillar, which supplies gas generators and turbines to power data centers, is working with Vertiv to combine power generation with distribution and cooling for faster AI deployments. The company expects continued strength in data center demand as it grows.

This partnership between Caterpillar and Vertiv highlights the huge opportunity in AI infrastructure beyond chipmakers like Nvidia. As hyperscalers build more data centers, these two companies are stepping up to meet the insatiable demand for power, cooling, and other infrastructure.
