Caterpillar Buys Into Century-Old Tractor Dealer in Midwest Deal

Caterpillar Inc. has announced its plans to acquire John Fabick Tractor Company, a long-standing dealer in the Midwest region of the United States. The acquisition involves a dealership with over 100 years of experience serving customers across Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

Fabick operates 37 locations throughout the region and has built strong relationships with its customers over the past century. According to Joe Creed, Caterpillar's Chairman and CEO, the acquisition will enable the company to continue working closely with the Fabick team to strengthen customer experiences and drive long-term growth.

The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and customary closing conditions, with a expected completion date within 30 days. Caterpillar reported $67.6 billion in sales and revenues for 2025 across its business segments, including Power & Energy, Construction Industries, and Resource Industries.
