Charlotte Woman's 'Husband Application' Goes Viral with Over 240 Suitors
A Charlotte-based woman has taken an unconventional approach to finding her future husband by creating a Google Form application for potential suitors. Arin Patterson, 36, is seeking someone who embodies qualities such as being Christian, single, and eager to be a husband and father. The form includes questions about height, employment status, relationship goals, and even what the ideal first date would be.
Patterson's 'husband application' has gone viral, attracting over 240 submissions and an estimated 1,000-1,500 direct messages. She plans to categorize the applicants in a spreadsheet to determine who might move on to the next phase.
Patterson cited her parents' 44-year marriage as inspiration for seeking long-term love. However, she expressed frustration with modern dating apps and IRL set-ups, which failed to yield substantial matches. 'Wanting something and saying what you want is one of the fastest ways to get it,' she said.
The application window has now closed, leaving Patterson with a significant amount of administrative work ahead. Despite potential criticism that her approach may be seen as desperate, Patterson maintains that clarity in what one wants can actually lead to achieving those goals.
