Chevron is set to begin seismic research in Greek waters this year, according to the Greek energy ministry.
The research will take place in blocks located off Greece's Ionian Sea and south of Peloponnese and Crete.
Chevron Country Manager Beatrice Bienvenu stated that the research will start by the end of the year during a meeting with Greek Energy Minister Stavros Papastavrou in New York.
