Cisco Leans into AI Data Centers with Expanded Secure AI Factory
Cisco Systems is expanding its AI infrastructure partnership with NVIDIA and Supermicro to cater to high-density GPU solutions for enterprises and cloud providers. The company has introduced a Sovereign Critical Infrastructure portfolio in Canada, designed to support secure and air-gapped systems aligned with regional security requirements.
Both moves are aimed at serving customers building AI workloads and sensitive digital infrastructure within Canadian and global regulatory frameworks. Cisco's focus on networking, security, and data technologies makes it well-positioned to address the needs of enterprises using AI and cloud infrastructure.
The expanded Secure AI Factory offers higher density GPU options, liquid and air-cooled systems tied into Cisco's Silicon One and Spectrum X networking solutions. This means Cisco is leaning further into full-stack AI data center builds for enterprises, neoclouds, and sovereign clouds rather than just focusing on networking gear.
The Canadian Sovereign Critical Infrastructure launch positions Cisco at the center of on-premises, air-gapped deployments for governments and critical sectors that require strict control over data and systems. The portfolio links Cisco hardware, security, Splunk observability, and collaboration into a single offer aligned with frameworks like ITSG 33 and FIPS 140-2/3.
