Cisco Seeks to Integrate Security Tools with Nvidia's AI Agent Platform

Cisco Systems, the networking and cybersecurity company, has outlined plans to pair its security tools with Nvidia's new AI agent safety platform. The goal is to monitor AI agents from outside their own software, providing a more comprehensive view of their behavior.

Nvidia's OpenShell sets runtime controls, while a separate watchdog on BlueField-4 hardware monitors behavior. Cisco wants to integrate Hypershield, AI Defense, and identity controls into this setup, with Splunk pulling the activity together for security teams.

The idea behind this integration is that more agents could lead to increased demand for security and monitoring. However, no revenue figure has been provided yet to support this claim.
