Cisco Surges 3.7% on Nvidia CEO's Cybersecurity Endorsement
Cisco Systems (CSCO) shares surged approximately 3.7% to $111.45 on Friday after Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang highlighted cybersecurity as AI's next major opportunity and identified Cisco among Nvidia's partners.
Huang sees cybersecurity following AI coding because digital defenses must stay active around the clock, not wait for a prompt. This endorsement from a prominent tech leader could add value to Cisco's security and networking platforms, which are already riding the infrastructure boom.
Cisco has recorded $9.3 billion in fiscal 2026 AI orders, including $4 billion in its fourth quarter. Quarterly revenue climbed to $17.25 billion from $14.67 billion a year earlier.
Cisco's valuation stands at 49.98% above its $74.31 GF Value estimate, raising concerns about the stock's price.
