CNN has made its $6.99-a-month streaming offer more accessible by introducing curated on-demand News Clips to Prime Video's U.S. news destination.

The playlists combine short reports from multiple providers and are free even without a Prime membership, making distribution easier but also raising the standard CNN must clear to convert casual viewers into paying subscribers.

CNN's All Access subscriptions continued to grow in August, with no customer count disclosed. The service offers live global news, original series, films, breaking coverage, and on-demand programming for $6.99 a month or $41.99 annually.

Warner Bros. Discovery shares closed at $28.07, leaving a $2.93 gap to Paramount Skydance's agreed $31 cash price. The merger agreement announcement says holders begin accruing a $0.25-per-share quarterly ticking fee if the deal has not closed by September 30.
