Coca-Cola Commits P157 Million to Aid Philippine Micro-Retailers
Coca-Cola Philippines has committed P157 million to help over 15,000 micro-retailers in the country resume trading safely. The company launched the Rebuilding Sari-Sari Stores Through Access to Resources and Trade (ReSTART) program in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry.
The initiative provides cash assistance, digital training modules, and retail guidance designed to meet national health and safety compliance rules. Participating vendors also receive revised credit terms and payment schedules from Coca-Cola's bottling arm, Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines, Inc.
Beyond existing store networks, the company is recruiting displaced overseas workers into its wholesale logistics chain through the OFW RISE program. This initiative offers business coaching and exclusive wholesale rights to establish family-run beverage distributorships backed by brand credit lines.
