The Coca-Cola system is a significant contributor to the US economy, according to a new study commissioned by The Coca-Cola Company. The study found that the system contributes $85 billion to the US GDP and supports nearly 1 million jobs. This includes direct system jobs, as well as jobs supported by purchased goods and services, and jobs at retailers and restaurants where its beverages are sold.

The study also measured the economic impact of the Coca-Cola system in individual states, finding that it exceeds $1 billion in 25 states. The system's production network spans over 70 production facilities and hundreds of distribution centers across all 50 states, Washington D.C., and Puerto Rico.

In addition to its economic contributions, the Coca-Cola system also invests heavily in community programs through The Coca-Cola Foundation and Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation. Together, they contribute $177 million to US community programs, including $60 million in education and economic empowerment.
