Cramer Flags Amgen's Underappreciated Repatha Drug as a Cardiovascular Game-Changer
Jim Cramer recently highlighted Amgen's (NASDAQ:AMGN) underappreciated Repatha drug, which he believes has a massive cardiovascular opportunity comparable to Eli Lilly's (NYSE:LLY) lucrative GLP-1 market.
Cramer pointed out that Repatha, an injectable medication administered every other week, reduces the risk of death by 20% in individuals with high risk for heart attack or stroke. It also works against diabetes and high cholesterol.
According to Amgen's Q2 2026 earnings call, Repatha sales jumped 37% to $953 million, with U.S. new-to-brand prescriptions growing more than 50% year over year.
Cramer compared the opportunity behind Repatha to Eli Lilly's GLP-1 market, stating it could be the 'biggest market of all time' aside from what Eli Lilly has tapped into. He noted that investors may still be underestimating the potential size of the cardiovascular opportunity.
