Dimon Sees $1 Trillion AI Boom, Warns of Short-Term Inflation
JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon has spoken about the potential impact of AI spending on the economy. He believes that hyperscaler AI spending could reach $1 trillion next year, contributing up to 1% to GDP growth annually.
Dimon also warned that this boom may add to inflation concerns, but he sees a long-term deflationary effect from AI technology as it enhances productivity and efficiency.
The JPMorgan CEO cautioned investors to be prepared for multiple scenarios and not to panic about the rise in long-term bond yields and subsequent rate hike.
