Disney+ August Lineup Brings Star Wars, Pokémon, and More
Disney+ has announced its lineup for August, and it's packed with new additions. The month kicks off with the continuation of the Lollapalooza music festival livestream in Chicago, featuring headliners like Olivia Dean and Tate McRae.
The streaming service will also host select WNBA games as part of its Women’s Sports Sundays programming. In a major coup for Disney, it has secured the U.S. streaming and broadcast rights to Pokémon, with the original series set to debut on August 7.
Other highlights include the premiere of new episodes from X-Men '97, the continuation of League of Legends tournament KeSPA Cup, and the addition of Disney's own content like CoComelon shorts featuring Sanrio characters. This month also marks the beginning of World Princess Week, with Disney hosting the ultimate Disney Princess concert during its D23 Day event.
Throughout August, subscribers can expect new episodes from shows like The Husband, Project Runway, and Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro, as well as the premiere of Camp Rock 3. The month concludes with the addition of LEGO Disney Princess: Magical Mayhem and a new director's cut of The X-Files: I Want to Believe.
