Disney Brings Lakeshore Lodge Preview to Manhattan's Flatiron Plaza
A Disney experience has made its way to Manhattan's Flatiron Plaza, giving New Yorkers a sneak peek at the upcoming Lakeshore Lodge resort. A 3D street mural created by artist Tracy Lee Stum brings the Daydream River lazy river from the resort to life.
The mural, which features rock formations and an inflatable waterfall, is situated on the corner of 23rd Street and 5th Avenue in Flatiron Plaza and will be open until 5:00pm today. Disney says guests can step into the mural for photos and videos, mimicking the resort's relaxing signature experience.
The Lakeshore Lodge, set to open on July 1st, 2027, is described as a waterfront retreat along Bay Lake that celebrates nature through Disney storytelling. The resort will feature 967 rooms with natural materials, earthy color palettes, and original artwork from classic films. Guests can look forward to unique amenities and recreational offerings.
Reservations for the resort will open in three stages next week, starting with Disney Vacation Club Members on October 6th, Walt Disney World Annual Passholders on October 7th, and all guests on October 8th.
