Evercore Raises Northern Trust Target Amid Strong Q2 Earnings
Northern Trust's stock price has been boosted after Evercore ISI analyst Glenn Schorr raised his target for the financial services company from USD 179.00 to USD 183.00, while keeping an In Line rating.
This comes on the heels of Northern Trust's second-quarter earnings release, which showed a net income of USD 792.20 million and diluted earnings per share of USD 4.23 for the period. The company also reported that total revenue excluding notable items increased by 13.00 percent year over year, while net interest income rose by 11.00 percent.
The second-quarter results included a pre-tax gain of USD 525.00 million related to a Visa Class B exchange offer, which lifted reported earnings. However, the underlying fee and interest-income growth shows that the result was not solely a one-off gain.
Northern Trust is scheduled to release its third-quarter earnings on October 20, 2026, with a conference call set for October 21, 2026. The upcoming earnings date provides investors with a near-term test of whether the elevated second-quarter revenue and fee trends are carrying into the next reporting period.
