Walt Disney Co. is raising prices on several of its streaming subscriptions, including the flagship Disney+ service. As of Wednesday, users will see a price increase for their ad-free subscription to $21.49 per month, up from $19.99. This hike represents a 13% jump in cost.

The price of Hulu without ads is also increasing by the same amount, and the bundled ad-free subscription to both Disney+ and Hulu will rise to $21.99 per month, or just 50 cents more than subscribing to each service individually.

Disney's decision to raise prices comes as other entertainment giants, including Netflix Inc. and Apple Inc., are also increasing their streaming costs. The move is aimed at boosting profitability for these companies.
