Disney's Consumer Products division will be moving under the company's Studios umbrella as of October 2026. This shift is part of a larger effort to streamline commerce and creativity, with the goal of creating 'cohesion across the entire Disney ecosystem' and extending the relevance of its franchises for generations.

The move will see the division, which generated $63 billion in retail sales of licensed consumer products in 2025, relocate from the Experiences division to Disney Entertainment. The decision was announced in a joint memo by Thomas Mazloum, chairman of Disney Experiences, and Alan Bergman, chairman of Disney Entertainment Studios.

The memo stated that this evolution 'reflects how these businesses operate today and strengthens that model by more directly linking our consumer products businesses with the creative and business teams behind the content.'

Lisa Baldzicki, who was named DCP prez in the spring, will continue in her role. The move is seen as a way to bring together the people who create Disney's products with those who get them to market.
