Disney Names Karandeep Anand as New Chief Technology Officer

The Walt Disney Company has appointed Karandeep Anand as its new Chief Technology Officer, effective October 2nd. Anand will oversee enterprise technology, infrastructure, data and AI platforms, product, and engineering across the company.

Anand joins Disney from Character.AI, where he was CEO, and brings experience in consumer technology, AI, and infrastructure. He has also held senior positions at Meta's Facebook and Microsoft, working on projects including the Azure platform.

Disney CEO Josh D'Amaro praised Anand's expertise and enthusiasm for the company, saying he will be a 'vital addition' to the team. As Chief Technology Officer, Anand will focus on modernizing Disney's technology capabilities and helping the company connect with fans worldwide through innovative storytelling.
