Disney Replaces Classic Railroad Medallions with Generic Designs at Magic Kingdom

Walt Disney World Resort has made another change to the Walt Disney World Railroad station on Main Street, U.S.A. at Magic Kingdom Park.

This is the second update this week, following the removal of a vintage 'Metropolis' penny arcade machine from the station.

The latest change involves replacing the Walt Disney World Railroad-themed medallions with generic ones in collectible coin machines around the Central Florida Disney parks.

In recent months, Disney has been updating pressed penny and collectible medallion machines to more modern, screen-based dispensers.

However, at the Walt Disney World Railroad station on Main Street, U.S.A., the old bronze coins featured an embossed 'Walt Disney World Railroad' insignia and text, with four character options paired with a steam train in service.
