Disney Springs Loses Another Affordable Dining Option

Disney Springs is losing another affordable dining option as Sunshine Churros is closing its two kiosks permanently after this weekend. According to WDWMagic, the West Side and Marketplace stands will shut down on September 5, 2026, marking the end of a quick snack stop that offered classic and gourmet churros for $6.25 and $7.99 respectively.

The closures come during a year when Disney Springs has seen multiple dining locations disappear, replaced by new concepts. While Disney hasn't publicly announced the shutdowns or identified replacements, guests who relied on Sunshine Churros as a convenient snack option are left with fewer choices in the district.

This isn't an isolated incident; earlier this summer, three food trucks from Exposition Park were removed, reducing the number of casual walk-up food options available. The remaining trucks now serve their final guests after June 7, and the area has been repurposed without introducing a new vendor.

Disney's mix of experiences is shifting, with new concepts like Six Ravens and Level99 opening this summer. However, for budget-conscious visitors, the loss of affordable snack options is noticeable, particularly when paired with menu changes and price increases elsewhere around Walt Disney World.
