Disney World Guests Face Stormy Weather Ahead
Walt Disney World guests are in for a potentially stormy weekend, with forecasts indicating widespread showers and thunderstorms across Central Florida. According to Click Orlando, the weather pattern is expected to bring scattered to numerous showers and storms each day, with rain chances climbing to 70-80%.
The storms could be more than just a nuisance, with frequent lightning, high winds, and heavy rainfall of up to 3 inches possible. This means that outdoor attractions, parades, and fireworks shows may be interrupted or canceled with little notice, while monorail service could also face delays due to the risk of lightning strikes.
Disney's pool safety protocols typically require pools and water parks to close temporarily when lightning is detected in the area. With storms forecast to move through daily, Blizzard Beach Water Park and other resort hotel pools may see repeated closures throughout the weekend.
