Disney World Marks 55th Anniversary with Brief Remarks from President

Walt Disney World is marking its official 55th anniversary on Thursday, October 1st. As part of the celebration, Joe Schott, President of Walt Disney World, will deliver brief remarks at Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom Park at 8:50 am.

The comments are expected to be a low-key moment for guests who happen to be at the park that morning.

This year's anniversary has been relatively understated compared to previous milestones, with little build-up and no major ceremonies or shows planned.

The only merchandise-related announcements made so far have been the release of commemorative items such as a Mickey Mouse plush, patch-covered backpack, hoodie, t-shirt, and ear headband.
