Disney World Unveils Major Changes for October 2026
Disney World has announced several changes coming in October 2026. The most notable of these is the opening of Hurly-Burly at Disney's BoardWalk on October 1st, which will offer live entertainment and a vintage-themed menu.
The lounge will operate as a family-friendly venue during the day, with activities like trivia games, while transforming into a 21-and-older nightlife spot in the evenings. Another new addition is the delayed opening of four booths at the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, which will debut on October 2nd.
Additionally, Scat Cat's Club Café and Lounge at Disney's Port Orleans Resort, French Quarter will close from October 6th to December for refurbishment, with beignets available at Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory. The Diamond Horseshoe in Magic Kingdom will reopen on October 4th with a new menu.
Olivia's Cafe at Disney's Old Key West Resort will shift its service schedule to start offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner from October 6th. Guests staying at deluxe resorts can enjoy Extended Evening Hours at Animal Kingdom on select dates.
The runDisney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend will take place from October 23rd to 25th, with events including a half-marathon, 10K, 5K, and 19.3-mile challenge. EPCOT will open later than usual on the event days due to the early morning races.
