Disney World's Iconic Yacht Club Resort Undergoes Major Refurbishment Effort

Walt Disney World is currently undergoing a multi-year refurbishment effort at its Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, with crews working on the exteriors of both properties. The project, which will affect almost every part of the Deluxe hotel destination, is expected to be completed by late 2027. Guests staying at these resorts through next year should be aware that work will be ongoing during their stay.

The refurbishment effort has already reached the central building of the Yacht Club Resort, with the main lobby entrance sealed off behind scaffolding and plywood walls. A sign directs guests to an alternate path on the right side of the building, which runs past Ale & Compass Restaurant and leads to a temporary lobby entrance.

Disney's construction bulletin warns that guests may see and hear construction in progress during the day, particularly while work is being done on the exteriors of both resorts. The refurbishment will be completed in different phases, with Disney claiming that work at the Yacht Club will end by late 2026, while the Beach Club will be under construction until late 2027.
