A Boeing 737 aircraft was pulled by volunteers in Dorset as part of a charity event to raise funds for families in need. The 'Dorset Plane Pull' took place over the August bank holiday, with three teams from Home-Start Wessex participating.

The teams, known as the Home-Start Heroes, the Runway Ruckers, and The Winton Way, each consisted of 20 volunteers who pulled the 35,000kg aircraft 50 metres. This effort raised £6,900 for the charity's work with families across the region.

Darren Lewis, Community Fundraising & Events Officer at Home-Start Wessex, praised the teams' efforts and noted that what he loved most was seeing 'the friendly competitiveness between the gym teams and the rugby club come together for something much bigger than winning.'
