Fed Rate Hike Forecast Shifts to October, Goldman Sachs Says

Goldman Sachs has updated its forecast for US Federal Reserve interest rate hikes. The bank now expects the Fed to raise rates by 25 basis points at its October policy meeting, adding a further hike to its previous call.

In a note, Goldman Sachs cited that October was the most likely time for the next move because it would allow the Fed to deliver hikes in support of 'a timelier return' to the 2% inflation target at consecutive meetings.
