The Gemini app has introduced a new feature called 'Map' to help users navigate location-based prompts on Android and iOS devices.

The Map tool is available in the carousel section of the app, alongside other features like Photos, Camera, Avatar, Files, Drive, and Notebooks. It displays a live map of the user's current location with a circular focus area, allowing them to pan, zoom, and search for specific locations.

When users select a location on the map, it adds 'Map Area' to the prompt box where they can append text. The Map tool is widely rolled out across all devices.

Additionally, Google has announced that it will be replacing the forward slash '/' with the '@' symbol to invoke skills in the Gemini app. This change aims to simplify access to skills and connectors from a single place.
