Google has been hit with a massive fine of €403 million for its unlawful processing of user location data. The company will be able to pay off this penalty in just 55 hours, according to privacy firm Proton.

This is one of the largest GDPR penalties Google has faced, but it may not be enough to deter the company from repeating such violations. Proton notes that Alphabet, Google's parent company, could cover the fine with its free cash flow alone in about two days and seven hours.

The fine is just a drop in the bucket for Alphabet, which generated $73.3 billion in free cash flow last year. This means that Google can easily afford to absorb such penalties without making any significant changes to its business practices.
