McDonald's has outlined an $8.5 billion support plan for its franchisees as part of its 'NEXT' strategy to improve food quality, hospitality, value, and innovation.
The company aims to achieve higher margins by 2030, with a target operating margin in the low- to mid-50% range.
Ahead of its investor meeting, McDonald's announced that roughly $5 billion will be invested by 2030 through rent relief and capital support for franchisees.
The plan includes simplifying operations, modernizing restaurant designs, investing in employee training, and expanding the use of ArchIQ, an AI-powered restaurant operating system.
