Google Keep Ditches Material You-era Widget for Fresh Design

Google Keep for Android has received an update that tweaks its homescreen widget. The 'Note collection' widget now features a circular FAB (floating action button) on the right side of the screen, replacing the Material You-era sidebar with shortcuts to different note types.

This new design removes some empty space seen in the previous layout and offers an edge-to-edge look at your notes. A second tap on the homescreen widget now opens a pop-up menu that allows users to create a new note.

The update also follows the rollout of Keep Live for Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers, indicating ongoing development of the app's features.
