Google Rolls Out Five New Features for Photos App

Google has rolled out five new features to its Photos app, designed to help users make the most of their summer memories. The updates include a 'Wardrobe' feature that allows users to catalog their photos with different clothing items and generate new looks based on those pieces.

The Wardrobe feature was initially announced in April, but has only just started rolling out to users this summer. In addition to the Wardrobe feature, Google's Gemini app now uses Gemini Spark to help users edit their photos with a single prompt.

For example, if a user takes multiple photos of themselves on vacation, they can ask Gemini Spark to remove people from the background and center them in the shot. The Moods feature also adds vintage-inspired styles to photos, including 35mm film and 2000s digicam options.

The updates also include more remix templates for users who want to add a creative touch to their photos. Additionally, an upgraded markup tool allows users to 'redact' certain things in images, such as text or people they'd rather not appear in the photo.
