Google Rolls Out Gemini 3.8 Flash in AI Mode for Premium Subscribers

Google Search has introduced Gemini 3.8 Flash in AI Mode for its Google AI Pro & Ultra subscribers globally, according to Robby Stein, VP of Product at Google Search.

This is a global rollout and users can access it by clicking the plus icon and then selecting the model from the dropdown menu.

Gemini 3.8 Flash is described as Google's 'most intelligent workhorse model yet,' delivering significant improvements over Gemini 3.7 Flash in software engineering, agentic tasks, and multi-step reasoning.

Just a couple of weeks ago, Google brought Gemini 3.7 Flash to AI Mode within Google Search for its subscribers.
