Google Unveils Gemini 4 Argon Model for Cyber Defenders
Google has introduced its most capable model yet in its Gemini 4 generation, called Argon. The company will initially release it to a vetted group of cyber defenders through its Fairwind Program, allowing them to use it without cyber guardrails.
Argon is larger than Google's previous Pro models and raises the maximum output to 1 million tokens, up from 64,000. It leads outright on 12 of 18 benchmarks but trails rivals on Terminal-Bench 4.0 and FrontierSWE v2.
The model will be available first to cyber defenders through the Fairwind Program at introductory pricing of $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens for later customers. Paying API customers and Google AI Ultra subscribers will come next, but no date has been given.
