Google Unveils Googlebook Laptop Powered by Snapdragon X Elite

Google has unveiled its latest laptop, the Googlebook, which is set to launch on October 4, 2026. The device combines ChromeOS with Android technology and features Gemini Intelligence tools to enhance user productivity.

The Googlebook will be available in partnership with HP, Dell, Lenovo, Acer, and ASUS, each offering different specifications and builds. The laptops will come with a choice between Intel and Qualcomm NPUs with up to 45 TOPS, display sizes, chassis made of premium materials, and more.

Qualcomm's Snapdragon X Elite platform powers the Googlebook experience, providing powerful performance with efficiency for all-day battery life. The chip also drives Googlebook's Gemini Intelligence features, including Cast My Apps, Magic Pointer, and Rambler, which can pull relevant information from emails, calendars, and on-screen content.

Users will be able to use their Android devices as a companion to the Googlebook, with settings, saved passwords, Wi-Fi connections, and messages transferring to the laptop. The device also offers tools to streamline tasks and apps from phones to laptops.
