Nvidia Predicts Double Chip Sales Amid AI Boom
Nvidia's data center chip sales could double next year, according to CEO Jensen Huang. The company has seen significant demand for its chips, which are used in artificial intelligence workloads.
The Blackwell Ultra architecture is at the foundation of Nvidia's flagship GB300 GPU, but the new Vera Rubin system offers up to 30 times more performance and can reduce inference token costs by 97%. This could encourage more AI adoption and make data center operators more profitable, leading to further demand for Nvidia's chips.
Huang said every frontier AI company plans to adopt Vera Rubin at launch, which was not the case with Blackwell Ultra. As a result, Nvidia is expected to bring in almost $700 billion in sales next year, with 90% of that revenue coming from the data center business alone.
