Google Ups the Ante on Publisher Profiles with Multi-Account Management
Google has announced updates to its Search profile feature aimed at helping publishers better highlight their content and connect with their audiences. The changes include multi-account management, which will allow media organizations managing multiple publications to claim and manage Search profiles for all their sub-brands from a single login.
The updated article view in Search profiles now includes optimized image thumbnails and longer headlines, making it easier for people to discover and dive deeper into the publisher's content. Additionally, more U.S. publishers and creators are now eligible for Search profiles, with the eligibility threshold lowered to 10,000 followers across YouTube, Instagram, X, or TikTok.
Publishers can log in to their Search profile to try out these new features today or learn more about setting up a profile in Google's Help Center. The updates are designed to help publishers showcase their work and reach their audiences more effectively on the platform.
