Hidden Details Revealed in Disney's Hollywood Studios Update
Disney's Hollywood Studios is getting a major update with the reopening of The Magic of Disney Animation exhibit on September 14th. This part of the land has been in development for months, and Imagineers have given fans a sneak peek at some of the hidden details that will be on display.
The exhibit features an animator's desk that was actually saved from the original Animation Academy at Hollywood Studios, which closed in July 2015. Visitors can see a replica of Disney Feature Animation in California, as well as various items gifted to the team over the years, such as ping pong balls and a Moana crew hat.
Other hidden details include an edition of the Rabbit, Rabbit magazine that animators received weekly, a book full of caricatures drawn by Disney Animators themselves, and even red rubber bands used to hold scenes together. These items are all part of the Imagineers' effort to create an immersive experience that feels lived-in.
When The Magic of Disney Animation exhibit opens on September 14th, it will be joined by other new additions to the land, including the Drawn to Wonderland playground and Off The Page, where guests can meet their favorite Disney friends. Fans are eagerly anticipating the full reopening of this part of the park.
